“In a demonstration of paranoia that would almost be comical if it wans’t true, the Mid-Missouri Internet Crimes Task Force has begun warning parents away from Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: City Folk, saying its online game play offers pedophiles an easy avenue to get at their precious children.

“There is no reason an adult should have this game,” says Task Force member Andy Anderson, directly before Missouri’s KMIZ news adds the following inference:

Anderson says adults playing “animal crossing” and similar games are likely doing it for the wrong reasons.

The funny thing is Animal Crossing has a good size adult following.

Are we next? I have Sanrio memorabilia and plushies and play HelloKitty On-Line?

There has been a self serving twits who tried this crap with Sanriotown, http://www.zam.com/story.html?story=16391  I wonder was there a coincidence  that somebody  tired to pose as a child predator on Sanriotown forum at the publishing of the above post.
There are real issues about on-line predators, but crying wolf all the time does not help
